About Ryanair Virtual

Our Operations

Founded to replicate the efficiency and scale of Ryanair DAC, our virtual airline operates a vast network of short-haul point-to-point routes across Europe and North Africa. We pride ourselves on maintaining strict operational standards, requiring our pilots to adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and network regulations.

We log thousands of virtual hours monthly on VATSIM, fostering a community of dedicated aviators who share a passion for the Boeing 737.

Initial Operating Experience (IOE)

All newly accepted First Officers must complete an Initial Operating Experience review. This process is designed to ensure you understand our internal dispatch requirements, the structure of our ACARS software, and standard routing procedures.

You will be provided with a probationary operations manual and assigned a temporary callsign until your first 5 sectors are successfully logged and verified by the training staff.

B737 Standard Operating Procedures

We maintain a rigorous set of SOPs modeled after real-world airline operations. Our training syllabus covers:

  • Flight Deck Preparation and FMC Initialization.
  • Standardized Taxi, Takeoff, and Climb profiles.
  • Energy management during complex STARs.
  • Non-normal procedures and diversion protocols.

Note: Access to full technical manuals is restricted to registered crew members via the Staff Portal.

Network Communications

Professional communication on VATSIM is a requirement. Our communication guides provide templates and examples for requesting oceanic clearances, complex pushback instructions at congested hubs (e.g., London Stansted, Dublin), and handling frequency congestion safely.
